ABOUT ME

Having been brought up all over Africa including Kenya and Gabon and then studying History of Art & Architecture in Florence, I developed an early passion for traveling and have worked in the travel industry for the past fifteen years.

Living in Africa I have had the most amazing experiences -  on safari sleeping in the open air with the distant roar of lion, whilst out driving finding family of gorilla crossing our tracks, following elephant on the beach in jeeps, spotting hippo in the surf as we hand picked oysters from the rocks in Gabon, dancing under the stars on a roof terrace in Lamu - Africa is well and truly in my blood.

Three generations of my mother's family have lived in India and having heard the most remarkable stories of tiger, leopard and riding across the tea plantations of Darjeeling I had to go to India  to see it all for myself.  It was love at first sight and I was in awe of this fascinating, colourful and extraordinary country. There is still so much to see and discover that I can not  wait to get back there, and explore that vast and fascinating continent.

Being a total foodie and shopaholic Italy certainly fulfills these cravings.  My favorite summer days are having  a plate of spaghetti vongole, a cold glass of Vermentino, gazing across the Mediterranean sparkling in the sun with the scent of fig trees heavy in the air - pure heaven!  And autumn in Tuscany wandering through medieval streets, past stalls selling fresh porcini with the noise of Italians in animated conversation and a motorino beeping past - this sums up the Italy I adore.
